foo.class

Plain Old Semantic HTML (POSH)

POSH yet another acronym to add to the list and yet a very useful term to encapsulate the need to create well structured HTML.

Let's face it there's still some horrible code being written out on the web and still a surprising percentage of sites being built with tables used for presentation. Given the take up of the Web 2.0 acronym perhaps another acronym to remind us of the fundamentals isn't such a bad idea.

About

My name is George Paterson and i've been involved in web development since 2001 following it's progression from complex table design to semantic accessible designs.

I live in London and work for a company called Hotcourses which is a large publishing and web development company, with offices in South Africa and India.

I've built fooclass as a library of web development techniques combining both articles and raw demonstration code. It also lets people learn more about what i do and serves as a portfolio of my work.
